Ask the Rules Guru - To Lock or Not To Lock

Dear Rules Guru,

Should the snow boards be locked or open while playing? About half the players say they must be locked shut and the other half say they should be open.

Dear All Boarded Up,

This question can’t be answered from the rule book, but from common sense. Snow boards should always be kept secured while playing, or they represent a hazard to players. It’s very easy to get a foot stuck in a loose snow board when digging out a screen shot.
