Teer is currently ranked 23rd in the country with Agate Cioroch. She and Cioroch are perennially Region VII’s top team and have won The Peachtree Invitational five out of the last six years.

Q: Hometown:
A: Atlanta now but originally England.

Q: Occupation:
A: Director of Racquet Sports at the Piedmont Driving Club in Georgia.

Q: Children:
A: A young son named Charlie.

Q: Did you play college tennis?
A: I played Division I college tennis at Georgia State University.

Q: Describe any international tennis you participated in:
A: I played for Sussex County, England, junior/adult as well as tournaments all around England and Spain.

Q: How long have you player platform tennis/how were you introduced to the game?
A: Freddy Goldenberg introduced me to the game in 2010.

Q: When you started, what were the biggest adjustments you had to make as a tennis player?
A: I had to stop trying to hit angled volleys!

Q: How do you make practicing fun?
A: I make it fun by doing it with fun people.

Q: Where is your favorite place to play?
A: Chicago.

Q: What is your trick/mental fix to use when you feel pressure in a match?
A: I laugh as it helps me to relax.

Q: Who do you wish was watching you at your best match?
A: My mum.

Q: List any other favorite hobbies you have:
A: Hardball doubles squash and tennis, of course.

Q: What is your favorite vacation spot?

A: Too many to mention as I like to go to different places.

Q: Do you have a favorite sports movie?
A: Happy Gilmore.

A: Just had my 20th work anniversary at the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta.

Q: What is your pre-match warmup/routine?
A: I stretch my back, shoulders, hips and calves, then hit a few with my partner.

Q: What is your favorite shot?
A: When the opportunity arises a side/back spin backhand drop shot.

Q: What is your favorite part of playing doubles and the best part of competing?
A: I enjoy the different challenges of each match and trying to figure out how to win.

A three-time APTA National Champion, du Randt won in 2010 with Jerry Albrikes and 2013 and 2014 with Mark Parsons.

A: Pearston, South Africa

A: Director of Racquet Sports at The Country Club in Massachusetts.

Q: Spouse/Children:
A: Rimante/Johan and Wyatt.

Q: Did you play college tennis?
A: Yes I played college tennis in South Africa.

Q: Describe any international tennis you participated in:
A: I played on the Futures/Challengers circuit

Q: How long have you played platform tennis/how were you introduced to the game?
A: I’ve played for ten years. A friend introduced me to it.

Q: When you started, what were the biggest adjustments you had to make as a tennis player?
A: I had to learn how to be patient.

Q: How do you make practicing fun?
A: Competition is the fun part and I never practice.

Q: Where is your favorite place to play?
A: Boston.

Q: List one or more highlights of your platform tennis career OR the funniest or best thing that happened to you on a platform tennis court?
A: Winning my first APTA Nationals as it was a huge surprise and Jerry is a Legend!

Q: What is your trick/mental fix to use when you feel pressure in a match?
A: That is top secret.

Q: List any other favorite hobbies you have:
A: Golf.

A: Somewhere I can play golf.

A: Miracle.

A: Anything to get the blood flow going. No routine.

A: Drop shot.

A: Working as a team to figure things out.
