Connecticut State Mixed

The New Canaan Field Club is pleased to host the Connecticut State Mixed Platform Tennis Championship. Teams of all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate. We will offer an Open Division and a Senior Division (50+). The tournament will be played all in one day.
ELIGIBILITY: All Main Draw and Senior Draw entrants must either live in Connecticut or have a Connecticut Club affiliation. Each participant must be a regular ($50) A.P.T.A. member or pay a $20 tournament registration fee.
TIME & PLACE: New Canaan Field Club and area clubs. Start times will be emailed to participants.
FORMAT: The Main Draw will be limited to the first 32 teams that enter. Consolation tournaments will be played. We will also have the Annual Senior Mixed Event. To be eligible for the Senior Draw, both partners must be at least 50 years old in the year 2010. There will be a consolation tournament in the Senior Draw. The Senior Draw will be limited to the first 16 teams that enter. Weather permitting all entrants in the Main Draw and Senior Draw will be assured of at least 3 matches. All matches will be the best 2 out of 3 sets. The A.P.T.A. 12 point tiebreaker will be used throughout.
ENTRY FEE: $150/Team
LUNCH: Saturday luncheon for all participants at the Country Club of New Canaan. Lunch will be available for non-playing guests for an additional cost of $25 per person.
ENTERTAINMENT: Saturday evening cocktail party while the finals are played.
