The APTA Cup
2021-2022 APTA Cup
Coinciding with the new APTA Tour, the championship cups for men and women APTA Tour winners are now called the APTA Cups. (Naming rights may go to future sponsors. They will replace the Grand Prix Blanchard and Childress Cups.) For both men and women, the best 6 out of 16 results from the APTA Tour events will count toward the APTA Cup.
Weighting
Nationals has 2x weighting of Grand Prix events; Grand Prix events have 2x weighting of non-Grand Prix Tour events; and non-Grand Prix Tour events have weighting based on strength of draw.
Top Four Winners
The top point scorer in the men’s and women’s Tour participants will win the APTA Cup and prize money. The next top three point scorers in both the men’s and women’s Tours will also be awarded prize money.
APTA Cup Prize Money Payout
The APTA will pay out $40,000 in prize money at Nationals (separate from prize money given out at individual tourneys) to the top four individual men and women (not teams) based on their performance at APTA Tour events.
