Nick is an advertising and publishing executive with over 30 years in the industry. He most recently served as McClatchy’s first Vice President, Head of Advertising. He was brought to McClatchy to focus on continuing and accelerating the company’s digital transition. Prior to that, Nick worked at Turner Ad Sales as Senior Vice President of digital ad sales strategy for the company’s portfolio of brands, including CNN, CNNMoney, TBS, TNT, and Cartoon Network. He also spent nearly a decade with NBCUniversal, most recently for NBCUniversal Sports.

Nick is the father to three children aged 23 to 17 and has been married for 27 years to his college girlfriend. The family enjoys international travel, golf, tennis, and of course, platform tennis. Nick grew up playing tennis and was planning on playing at Gettysburg College when he developed a chronic shoulder problem. He put the racquet down for a number of years before playing for fun with his young kids.

His paddle journey began seven years ago at the Morris County Golf Club in New Jersey. Given the pace and strategy, he enjoys the fact that he can play competitively without putting too much stress on the shoulder. Nick likes the steep learning curve of the sport, the length of points, and the social camaraderie that is so unique to paddle. He currently plays three to four times a week and is obsessed with the ebbs and flows of the PTI. As a passionate fan of the sport and the terrific community of players, Nick is delighted to be joining the board of the APTA and looks forward to bringing his experience in digital publishing to help the team with their communication initiatives.
