Live Scoring Results

Tournament Director Marco Grangeiro writes: Great day of paddle at Knickerbocker Country Club and surrounding area clubs. 28 teams from six different states--Kansas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey--participated in northern Jersey. Competition was intense with the higher seeds out in the earlier rounds and 18 out of 54 matches going 3 sets and 9 tie-breakers (not counting the super tiebreakers).

Congratulations to Tom Freeman and Lenny Park, members of Knickerbocker, for winning it all at your home turf! It was quite a deep field and through ups and downs, your offense and net play rewarded you the title. Impressive play!

Any endeavor is not possible to successfully execute it without the help of a lot of people and I want to thank them for all their efforts in planning and executing it the day of the tournament. I want to thank my assistant Oz Khan for his endless efforts to support the success of our program and tournaments we run, including this one. I want to thank the KCC staff, general manager Ricky Mosel, service director Lauren Tarzian and staff, chef Gus and his staff as well as the set up and cleaning staff for all their efforts.

I also need to thank the directors and general manager, Lauren Gebbia (EFC), Louis Volclair (RCC), and Gene Tioutine and Norm Forsythe (HGC) for lending four of their courts to help me run the tournament smoothly.

Lastly, I want to thank my hut commanders, Beth Eifert and Yumiko Sparkman, members of KCC, and Ken Persson, member of EFC, for helping with the scores, breakfast for players and making sure the players had what they needed while they could focus on playing their matches.
