Todd & Jaysingh claim Games on the James in dominating performance

A field of 22 teams competed for the title under bright, sunny conditions and temperatures reaching the high 50’s. When the smoke cleared, Andy Todd and Juan Jaysingh claimed the championship in a dominating performance, defeating Baltimore’s Tim Polk and Peter Foote in the final 6-2,6-2.Todd and Jaysingh combined patient play with bursts of strong offense to keep opponents off balance all day long.

Players in the draw came from Baltimore, Atlanta, Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Charlottesville, and the D.C. area. The one-day event, held on three courts, made for a long day for competitors. Next year’s event will enjoy the addition of two new courts under construction.
