Entry Qualifications
Entry based on combined individual NRT points as of Monday, February 23rd.
Entry Selection
Draw size for the National Championship is 64 teams. All teams will be placed on a waitlist, then moved into the draw based on combined individual NRT points. All teams will be notified of entry status by Wednesday, February 25th. Seeding for the National Championship draw will be by NRT points.
Wild Cards
National Ranking Tournaments (NRT) and PTI level Tournaments with a “waitlist only” entry. All National Ranking Tournaments (NRT) and PTI level Tournaments are subject to wild card spots, with a wild card available for every 16 teams allowed in a draw. A wild card team must be registered for the tournament by the registration deadline and must be approved by the National Tournament Committee. Wild card requests may come from tournament directors, the APTA, or players themselves, and should be requested prior to the close of registration. If no wild card spots are used, the draw will be filled out by the next eligible team/s.
Format
All main draw and all back draw matches will be 2 out of 3 sets with no ad scoring (server's choice) and a 12 point tie break at 6-6. In the main draw final, at 6-6, play will continue until one teams wins by two games.
