Tournament Director Kristen Evans writes:   Congratulations to all the players from this past Friday’s Hinsdale Challenge! Play was excellent under cold, wintery, and blustery conditions. It was awesome to have everyone at the KLM hut and watch the competition on all eight courts. Thank you for all your energy, patience, and kind words throughout the day.

Not only was the paddle play excellent, the Hinsdale Challenge made a difference for many through donations. My husband and I took all the leftover sandwiches and treats to the Western Springs fire department and they were thrilled. We also were able to donate leftover drinks and snacks to our Southwest Thursday women’s league for their match day luncheons. We donated our leftover Viking balls to the Misericordia Cupid Courts event taking place tomorrow, involving over 200 paddle ladies in our area. But the highlight of our tournament giving was our $1800 donation to PAWS CHICAGO, a fantastic organization. https://www.pawschicago.org/

A special shout out to the assistant to the tournament director, Stacey Zapalac, who rocks my world and kept all of the tourney activities organized for players.  She is the very, very best. Thank you also to our HPC club and all our HPC volunteers who made cookies, apps, ran errands, created specialty drinks and soup, welcomed players, ran the draw at Ruth Lake and Chicago Highlands, and cheered on all the play. Good stuff!

If you missed out on the RIPMASTER merchandise, please visit ripmasterathletics.com to check out all the great items.

Thank you all again and see you for the 2027 Hinsdale Challenge!!  Paddle on!
