Tennis Career: Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio, where he was recruited for soccer and was a two-sport athlete.
Paddle Career: Director of Racquet Sports, Hyde Park Golf and Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio. “My friend and assistant coach at Xavier University, Eric Toth, introduced me to the game. He got me out to play a few times with Doug Jones and Thaddeus Reed. They have all become friends for life.”
Favorite Paddle Memories: “I got lucky enough to play with a real legend—Flip Goodspeed. We made it to the semifinals of Nationals twice in a row. Next, I teamed up with Tyler Fraser, a lifelong friend as well.”
Next Legends: “Matt Muoio and Ethan Leon, those guys are really fun to watch. They look like they love the game. Guillermo Nunez is obviously a fun guy to watch, and I guess Marc Powers is getting closer to being a legend as well.”
Bonus Facts: 1) Rob is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Psychology and practices part-time at the Counseling Continuum in Cincinnati. 2) He is a recent Canadian Open Party Winner.
